Preparation of patient with impacted tooth 12 for treatment with implant – case report
Impacted teeth in the anterior maxillary segment in children require an interdisciplinary approach with many doctors. In the case discussed the patient presented with the absence of teeth 11 i 12 in the upper dental arch. Radiographic examination showed the presence of horizontally impacted tooth 12 blocking correct eruption of tooth 11. After surgical and orthodontic consultation it was decided to remove the impacted 12 and to restore the missing tooth using an implant.
